Yuanli and Henry - Yosemite Elopement

I really am blessed to do what I do for a living. I love meeting new people as they embark on a new stage of their lives together. Everyone has such a unique and interesting story of what makes them them. Yesterday I joined Yuanli and Henry to photograph their wedding in Yosemite. It was the first time they had been to the park - they decided to marry here based simply on photographs! They had a touchingly simple and pure ceremony in a meadow on the riverbank in the shadows of Half Dome. Shortly afterwords, we strolled through the park together to create photographic memories of their day. They were fun, playful and most of all, in love. By stripping the wedding day down to its essentials, Yuanli and Henry were able to focus on the most important things - each other.

Jennifer and James - Wedding Photos

Wow! What a fun wedding! Jennifer and James were married on Saturday at Paradise Springs - a beautiful resort near Yosemite. The wedding was wrapped in nature, which perfectly matched Jennifer and James. The detail work was amazing, from Belissimo Bride's hair and makeup to a horse drawn carriage for the bride to a candy car with chocolate fountain. Rarely have I had such a difficult time choosing a selection of photos for the blog, there are so many wonderful shots from the wedding. So much beauty and so much emotion! James and Katie both shot with me throughout the day and helped create a wedding video (more touching moments coming soon!). We had an amazing time at the wedding, beautiful scenery, great food, and wonderful people. Jennifer was on top of the details as she got ready. Her two-way radio was never out of reach. Carol of Bellissimo Brides did an amazing job on both hair and makeup! I love the emotion between Father and Daughter in the shot. You can almost read their thoughts... Every fairytale wedding needs a horse and carriage! We slipped out for a bit to get photograph Jennifer and James in the forest. One of my favorites ready to be covered in chocolate! I have a theory that when a bride and groom cut loose with the cake, their marriage is only going to be that much better! What an amazing party in the Sierra! Thanks again everyone!

Stephanie - Senior Portraits

For the second time in just two days I find myself in the water. For some reason I am never satisfied with a camera angle that does not require me to get wet. This time I was working with Stephanie a high school senior from Fresno. We worked together in Woodward Park exploring many different places to shoot. Stephanie was a natural in front of the camera and a true pleasure to work with.
